Barista / Shift In-Charge – Ongar
We are looking for an experienced Barista / Shift In-Charge to join our team coming new coffee shop sooner.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a café or busy restaurant environment.
- Experience working as a Senior Barista, Head Barista, or Shift Leader.
- Ability to independently manage and lead a shift when required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, extraction, and machine operation.
- Skilled in preparing all hot beverages, including:
- Espresso
- Americano
- Cappuccino
- Latte
- Flat White
- Mocha
- Hot Chocolate
- Tea and specialty drinks
- Skilled in preparing cold beverages, including:
- Iced Latte
- Iced Americano
- Iced Mocha
- Frappes
- Smoothies
- Milkshakes
- Other specialty cold drinks
- Ability to maintain high standards of drink quality and presentation.
- Experience with stock control and inventory management.
- Responsible for ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Ability to train and support junior staff members.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Reliable, responsible, and capable of opening or closing the café independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily barista operations during shifts.
- Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages.
- Ensure coffee equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory.
- Supervise staff and maintain smooth shift operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries professionally.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance with all health and safety standards.
Position: Full-Time Barista / Shift In-Charge
Location: Ongar
Experience Required: Senior Barista / Head Barista level preferred
We are seeking a motivated, experienced professional who can confidently run the coffee station and lead a shift independently while maintaining excellent beverage quality and customer service.
Pay: €13.50-€16.35 per hour
