Strength & Fitness Coach — Peak Health
Peak Health is a high-standard personal training facility specialising in strength training, Small Group Personal Training and Large Group Training.
Our goal is simple: to deliver an exceptional coaching experience while helping everyday people become stronger, fitter and healthier.
We’re now looking for another coach to join our team.
We’re not simply looking for someone with the right qualification.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to become an exceptional coach.
The right person will:
- Have a genuine passion for strength and resistance training
- Train consistently themselves and practise what they preach
- Want to build a long-term career in the fitness industry
- Be hungry to learn and improve their craft
- Actively seek feedback and apply it
- Be curious and comfortable asking questions
- Bring energy, confidence and personality to the gym floor
- Enjoy working with people and building relationships
- Take pride in delivering an exceptional member experience
- Want to contribute to a close, ambitious team
You do not need to be the finished product.
We have a structured Coach Development Pathway and are happy to invest significant time into developing someone with the right attitude and potential.
Technical coaching skills can be developed.
Hunger, curiosity and a genuine desire to improve are essential.
The Role
Depending on your experience and development level, your responsibilities will include:
- Coaching Small Group Personal Training sessions
- Coaching Large Group Training sessions
- Delivering high-quality strength and resistance training
- Demonstrating and coaching foundational movements
- Correcting exercise technique and adapting exercises appropriately
- Building strong relationships with members
- Supporting member accountability and progression
- Preparing for sessions and maintaining high coaching standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional training environment
- Participating in team meetings, training and internal education
- Continuing to develop your coaching knowledge and practical skills
- Contributing positively to the wider Peak Health team and community
What We Expect
Our standards are high.
We expect our coaches to communicate clearly, demonstrate strong body language and presence, arrive prepared, embrace feedback, create a welcoming environment and continually work on becoming better coaches.
We also believe coaching is a profession, not simply a job or stepping stone.
Our coaches train together, learn together, challenge each other and take their own development seriously.
The Reality of Working in Fitness
Fitness isn’t always a 9–5 industry.
Our busiest periods include early mornings and evenings, and depending on scheduling requirements, the role may include split shifts.
Team meetings, internal development and team training are also important parts of working at Peak Health.
We want to be transparent about that from the beginning.
If you’re looking for somewhere to simply clock in, deliver a few sessions and go home, Peak Health probably isn’t the right environment.
If you want to surround yourself with ambitious people, receive regular feedback and develop into an excellent professional coach, we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Recognised Personal Training/Fitness qualification or relevant degree
- Good foundational understanding of resistance training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early mornings and/or evenings
Desirable:
- Previous personal training or group coaching experience
- Strength & Conditioning qualification/background
- Experience coaching foundational strength movements
- Experience personally following structured strength training
- Experience working with general-population clients
Previous coaching experience is valuable but not essential for an exceptional candidate.
We would rather develop someone with outstanding attitude, curiosity and coachability than hire someone experienced who isn’t aligned with our standards.
