Jack Coughlan Architects, a well-established multi-disciplinary architectural practice with offices in Cork City and Dunboyne, Co. Meath, is seeking an experienced Junior Architectural Technologist to join our Cork office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior technologist to develop their technical skills within supportive practice, working as part of experienced project teams across a varied range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, technical details, schedules and presentation material
- Support project teams through planning, tender and construction stages
- Work with architects, technologists and consultants to help coordinate design information
- Develop technical knowledge of construction detailing, building regulations and statutory requirements
- Assist with site-related documentation, surveys and project administration where required
- Contribute positively to a collaborative studio environment and take direction from senior team members
Job Requirements
- A relevant qualification in architectural technology or a related discipline
- Some experience in an architectural practice is desirable, but recent graduates with strong portfolios will also be considered
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, with a willingness to continue developing BIM and technical drawing skills
- A developing understanding of Irish building regulations, construction standards and detailing
- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn from senior colleagues
