This is a varied role that requires technical design ability and strong senior level support and management experience in VMware SDDC and associated technologies.
This role is part of a dedicated support role in a 24x7 managed service environment providing remote support and maintenance to multiple client environments on behalf of Triangle.
You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of the VMware core infrastructure SDDC technologies and have engaged with enterprise customers to design, implement and support solutions based on the customer’s specific use case and requirements.
The VMware Senior Consultant will work closely with Triangle Architects and the client and be able to take ownership of complex solutions and take them to completion with minimal supervision or review. The candidate must also be able to take ownership of complex issues, service requests and requests for change to ensure SLAs are met and to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Act as senior technical support for multiple customer environments across managed service and project engagements.
- Effectively deal with high priority and escalated customer technical issues.
- Follow and engage with standard incident, problem and change management processes to meet defined service level agreements including root cause analysis of critical incidents.
- Escalate issues appropriately internally within Triangle or to relevant vendor while remaining within service levels
- Pro-actively search out potential issues in the environment and resolve them before they become a problem.
- Systems management design activities, including s/w level reviews for patching and upgrades
- Capacity management and performance management tracking and reporting activities
- Enterprise level systems management and monitoring experience
- Act as reliable technical design resource for client engagements and new opportunities
- Creation and review of customer technical proposals, including high-level design and estimates that meet customer’s needs
- Creation of Solution Specifications and Low-Level Design documents
- Installation and delivery of solutions on customer site
- Create and own full project and solution technical documentation to Triangle and customer standards
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
