RTÉ Independent Productions works in partnership with independent producers to commission and deliver many of Ireland’s most popular television and radio programmes, supporting the creation of high-quality content that reflects Irish culture, creativity, diversity and public service values.
Two opportunities have arisen for a Commissioning Administrator within RTÉ’s Independent Productions Office. Reporting to the Business and Finance Manager, Independent Production, the successful candidates will provide administrative support across both Radio and Television commissioning activities, with a primary focus on the administration and coordination of radio commissions.

The roles encompass the management of RTÉ’s eCommissioning system, coordination of programme documentation, processing of contract requisitions and supporting editorial teams to ensure the efficient delivery and governance of commissioned television and radio productions.

Provide general administrative support to the RTÉ Independent Productions office
- Manage correspondence with external independent producers
- Oversee RTÉ’s eCommissioning system for programme proposal assessments
- Maintain and organise supporting programme documentation
- Prepare materials for programme meetings
- Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documentation
About you-
Previous experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with office systems and procedures
- Experience using document management systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy

These appointments will be made on a fixed term full-time contract basis for two years. The salary scale for this grade is Administrative Grade 2 from €36,472 to €50,899 gross per annum. The first 6 months of these positions will be onsite. Hybrid work is available from 6 months.
