About the Role
As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will:
- Conceptualise and execute fresh, seasonal menus that reflect Irish produce and The Crawford's culinary heritage.
- Join a small, dedicated kitchen team to deliver consistently exceptional dishes.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to design innovative tasting menus, daily specials, and à la carte offerings.
- Maintain exceptional quality, presentation, and consistency across all courses.
- Ensure rigorous standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergy awareness in line with HACCP and local regulations.
- Manage inventories, order ingredients from trusted local suppliers, and control food costs without compromising quality.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning, experimenting with techniques, and refining your craft.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a chef in a high-quality environment (minimum 1 - 5 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Irish ingredients, seafood, meats, and seasonal produce.
- Ability to create, test, and refine menus with creativity and authenticity.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Thorough understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene.
- Excellent palate and eye for plating; a passion for presentation - consistently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by service demands.
- A sense of hospitality and a love for storytelling through food.
