Assistant Manager – PAIR Mobile
About the Role
PAIR Mobile is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our retail locations. This role combines retail leadership, sales performance, customer service excellence, and technical support oversight.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving store performance, supporting and developing team members, ensuring high-quality repair services, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Store & Team Management
- Supervise, coach and support Retail Sales Consultants and Repair Technicians.
- Drive team performance to achieve sales, service and operational targets.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate daily duties.
- Lead the shop floor during busy trading periods and ensure effective store coverage.
- Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback and training.
Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver outstanding customer service and act as the escalation point for customer queries and complaints.
- Drive sales of smartphones, tablets, accessories and related services.
- Promote warranty, repair and protection solutions where appropriate.
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Technical Support & Operations
- Oversee device repair workflows to ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately and within expected timeframes.
- Maintain stock control, inventory accuracy and ordering processes.
- Manage cash handling, banking procedures and till reconciliation.
- Ensure store presentation standards are maintained at all times.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GDPR requirements and health and safety regulations.
- Safeguard customer data and devices entrusted to the business.
- Complete required administrative and reporting duties accurately and on time.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years' experience in a retail supervisory, management, telecommunications or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of Apple iOS and Android devices.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland without restriction.
