About Us
Smyths Homevalue is a leading home improvement retailer with a growing e-commerce presence. We operate two Shopify websites, SmythsHomevalue.ie and PaintOnline.ie, serving customers across Ireland.
We are looking for an E-Commerce & Marketing Executive to help manage and grow our online business. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be involved in everything from Google Ads and Shopify management to content creation, marketplaces, customer service, and order fulfilment.
This position would suit someone with experience in e-commerce who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working across multiple areas of an online retail business.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Management
- Manage and maintain SmythsHomevalue.ie and PaintOnline.ie via Shopify.
- Upload and optimise product listings.
- Maintain website content, pricing, and product information.
- Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Digital Marketing
- Manage Google Ads campaigns and budgets across both websites.
- Monitor advertising performance and profitability.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns and promotional activity.
- Report on key performance metrics and online sales.
Content Creation
- Create content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms.
- Produce product photography and video content.
- Write product descriptions, website copy, and marketing content.
- Create graphics using Canva, Photoshop, AI tools, or similar software.
Marketplace Management
- Manage other sales channels.
- Resolve listing issues, customer cases, and account notifications.
- Monitor marketplace performance and account health.
- Ensure listings remain accurate and up to date.
Operations & Customer Service
- Liaise with customers regarding orders and deliveries.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
- Assist with packing orders during busy periods when required.
- Support warehouse staff with stock and order queries.
- Book pallet deliveries and collections.
- Liaise with DPD and transport providers regarding deliveries and logistics.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Create promotions, bundles, discounts, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor online sales performance and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and operational efficiency.
Essential Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Shopify.
- Experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
- Experience selling on Amazon and/or eBay marketplaces.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
- Canva, Photoshop, or graphic design skills.
- Product photography and video creation.
- Social media content creation, including TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Email marketing experience.
- Experience with stock management or ERP systems.
