Job Title: Shop Assistant
Location: Mountmellick, Co. Laois
Employment Type: Part-time
We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team in a busy convenience store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Operate the till accurately, including cash handling and card transactions
- Replenish shelves and maintain stock levels
- Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
- Assist customers with queries in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Support opening and closing procedures as required
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
