Our growing manufacturing facility in Ballymote (Co. Sligo) currently has a vacancy for a new member of the toolroom. This is a full time permanent role with Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm schedule.
Key responsibilities:
-to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on injection molds, hot & cold runner systems, jigs and fixtures.
-diagnostic and troubleshooting tooling issues efficiently on the production floor to minimize downtime.
-operate toolroom machinery including manual/CNC lathe, manual/CNC mill, manual sink EDM, CNC wire EDM, surface and radial grinders, welders and various power tools.
-modify and fabricate spare tool components from 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD data.
-inspection with manual inspection equipment as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges and similar, knowledge of CMM inspection is beneficial.
-document all tool histories, maintenance logs and modifications using Excel files and similar databases.
Our successful candidate will be a post apprenticeship toolmaker, fitter or machinist with “can do” attitude, proven track record of diagnosing and problems solving. Fluent English language is highly beneficial due to dynamic environment and nature of the position.
