Personal Assistant (Flexible Part-Time or Full Time) – Sutton/Howth Area
We are looking for someone who wants flexible work helping someone in a wheelchair live independently? A man with a spinal cord injury (paralysed from the neck down) is seeking a reliable, proactive person to support him in his daily life.
About the Role:
You’ll assist with a range of personal and practical tasks, including:
- Using a hoist for transfers
- Showering, dressing, and other personal care
- Morning routines and exercise support
- Meal preparation
- General day-to-day assistance
Shift Availability:
There are many shifts available.
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 12noon
- Tuesday evening: 19:00 - 23:00
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am – 13:00 (option to work alternate weekends)
Additional shifts may be available either with this individual or with other Irish Wheelchair Association clients, depending on your interest.
Hours & Flexibility:
- Option for more or less hours in future if desired
- Schedule can be adjusted based on your availability if agreed
Pay & Conditions:
- Standard rate: €16.22 – €18.03 per hour (increases annually)
- Before 8am / after 8pm: €20.26 per hour
- Sunday: €24.32 - €27.02 per hour
- HSE-funded role via the Irish Wheelchair Association
- Opportunity for consistent or flexible scheduling
What We’re Looking For:
- Good English skills
- Right to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 visa holders welcome)
- Experience in disability care helpful but not essential
- Full driver’s license (age 25+) is required
