This Finance Manager job in Galway with a global industry leader arises due to ongoing investment and growth of their Galway operations which is part of this company’s international network. It encompasses business partnering with department leaders in operations and corporate services, managing and overseeing the work of Financial Accountants and Financial Analysts particularly at month-end, engaging in cross-functional process improvement projects and comes with high visibility with SLT members.
As the Finance Manager you will:
- Work alongside department directors to analyse their monthly budget performance, understand variances and provide a narrative on what’s driving revenue and costs
- Create and update annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for senior management to inform business decision making
- Manage project budgets for new products at various stages of the product development lifecycle
- Manage a team of finance employees, overseeing their work and provide coaching for their career development
- Maintain effective controls for your business units including SOX and US GAAP compliance
- Liaise with internal and external auditors on their requests and ensure audit readiness through effective processes, procedures and reports
- Drive process improvements and cost saving initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams, particularly in the areas of unit cost production and overheads
- Contribute to R&D tax credits and IDA grant proposals, allocations and associated audits

The package on offer is between €80,000-€85,000 including a competitive base salary, annual bonus, company pension contributions, full family health insurance, annual pay reviews and hybrid working.
To become the Finance Manager you will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years’ industry PQE working in a multinational company.
