We are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join our Operations Division on a full time, permanent contract which will be based in our Head Office in Dublin 15. This role will act as a key link between the local site and Group HR, ensuring alignment of HR strategies while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
The successful candidate will operate with a high level of independence, partnering closely with the plant Managing Director and wider leadership team. This is a broad and hands-on role covering recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations, with a strong focus on communication, organisational alignment and long-term workforce development.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Slovakia site, partnering with the MD and leadership team.
- Bridge communication between local operations and Group HR to ensure alignment on key decisions and initiatives.
- Support and guide managers on HR best practices, employee engagement, and organisational development.
- Promote clear communication, transparency, and strong leadership practices across the site.
- Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment processes aligned with business needs.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines locally and internationally where required.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruitment strategies.
- Support employer branding initiatives and represent the company at recruitment events.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy processes.
- Support union-related activities and negotiations where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Slovak labour law and maintain up-to-date legislative knowledge.
- Promote fair, consistent, and compliant HR practices across the organisation.
- Oversee HR administration processes, including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and liaise with external providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage employee data within HR systems in compliance with GDPR and company policies.
- Monitor probation periods and ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
- Support the review and development of compensation structures to enhance retention and competitiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations on salary benchmarking and internal equity.
- Assist with workforce planning and organisational design initiatives.
- Support the implementation of HR strategies aligned with business growth.
- Prepare HR reports and analyse key metrics (e.g. recruitment, retention, headcount) to support decision-making.
- Analyse trends and recommend improvements to HR processes and policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR and wider business operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (CIPD or equivalent is an advantage).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR or HRBP role.
- Strong knowledge of labour law and employee relations.
- Experience in recruitment and stakeholder management.
- Exposure to compensation, payroll coordination, or HR operations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions and geographies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an advantage.
