We are seeking a Specification Technologist to join our team in Green Isle Foods. This role will be based in our Sligo facility with regular travel to our office based in Kildare. This is a fixed term contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- The completion and maintenance of customer specifications, ensuring product information is accurate, complete, compliant, and updated when changes occur.
- Coordinate and dispatch product samples from Gurteen for nutritional analysis, shelf-life testing, and air fryer cooking instructions and validation.
- Support annual cooking instruction verification by arranging sample testing in Naas.
- Managing artwork processes by checking that packaging information matches approved specifications, coordinating review rounds, and securing internal, retailer, printer PDF, and proof approvals before print.
- Support new product launches by completing and managing retailer-specific sample submission forms for multiple retail customers, creating and maintaining online product specifications
- Completing master data, updating specification statuses, attaching approved documentation, and arranging first production samples for customers ahead of launch.
- Where required, coordinate MSC artwork approval and retains confirmation before authorising packaging production.
- Audit preparation and support for MSC, BRC, and customer audits by gathering records, assisting auditors, supporting traceability exercises, and maintaining organised compliance documentation.
- Compiling annual Origin Green reporting data, reviewing packaging options and supplier information, and maintaining weekly fish data reports using SFPA and Peterhead Fish Market information.
- Weekly Fish Quality Attribute Checks, foodservice specification updates, and completion of New Line Forms to support product launches and ongoing operational accuracy.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in food production, quality assurance etc. an advantage.
- Open to recent graduates or coming from a food manufacturing position.
- Valid full driver’s license, own transport and willingness to travel.
