Operating from Temple Bar, Dublin, Tangos works with hundreds of wedding parties each year and specialises in formalwear consultation, garment fitting, tailoring coordination, and wedding party management.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Formalwear & Wedding Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting wedding parties and individual customers throughout the formalwear hire process, ensuring a high standard of customer service and garment presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional formalwear consultations for wedding parties and individual customers.
- Measure and fit customers for tuxedos, dinner suits, morning wear and associated formalwear.
- Coordinate wedding party bookings and assist with wedding preparation schedules.
- Liaise with Irish and international wedding clients travelling to Ireland for destination weddings.
- Prepare garments for customer collection, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and quality standards.
- Work closely with tailoring staff to coordinate alterations and fitting requirements.
- Assist customers with style selection, sizing advice, and formalwear etiquette.
- Maintain stock control and garment quality standards across rental inventory.
- Process customer bookings and maintain accurate records using company systems.
- Support collection and return procedures for rental garments.
- Assist in developing relationships with wedding clients and generating repeat and referral business.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy specialist formalwear business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in formal menswear, suit hire, bridalwear, wedding services, or a related specialist retail environment.
- Experience fitting customers for formalwear and providing sizing advice.
- Experience assisting wedding parties and managing customer appointments.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
- Experience working with international customers is desirable.
- Knowledge of garment care, tailoring processes, or clothing alterations would be an advantage.
Working Hours
40 Hours Full-time position based at Tangos Dress Hire, Dublin 2.
Pay: €36,650.00 per year
