Location: Our head office is based in Dublin 24. however, we provide the infrastructure that will allow the successful candidate to have flexibility in their working location.
Basic Functions:
- To act as a responsible representative of Carl Stuart Ltd. and always maintain the best interest of the company, its employees, customers and suppliers.
- ·To deliver technical support for a range of customers and / or a specific equipment range. This will entail onsite service in our Dublin office, travelling to sites on a country wide basis or even outside the country for technical training.
- ·To effectively market, sell, and deliver technical services, you will be expected to build a comprehensive understanding of the Customer sites, Customer requirements and product ranges within a reasonable timeframe. In addition to developing strong technical knowledge of the instruments we support and supply, you will also need to become familiar with the applications in which these instruments are used.
- ·Maintain accurate customer records within our CRM system.
- Carrying out the service and support duties will require a planned and organised approach, which will allow you to make efficient use of your time with support from the Service management team.
Specific Duties:
1.Responsibilities for planning calibrations and validations
- Work with service coordination team to arrange site visits
- Ensuring correct spare parts and appropriate in calibration test equipment ready for each site visit.
- Preparing quotes for service proposals and repairs.
- Maintaining and updating our company database and service database with new customers and service jobs and all relevant information updated to the Prospect CRM

- Ensure compliance with all aspects of our service, calibration, and general quality management procedures always.
- Commit to a continuous learning regime with a view to always building on your own personal knowledge and expertise.
- Answering technical queries from customers.
- Documenting PV results and producing reports/certificates/documents.
3. Other
- Work closely with the sales team on upcoming projects and to identify sale opportunities
- Attend online/in-house/overseas training arranged with suppliers/partners
- Attend and participate in scheduled service meetings and any service training workshops/seminars/discussions.
Education and Experience
Desirable education : Suitable third level education in an engineering or scientific discipline
Required experience: Two Years’ experience as an instrumentation technician.

Two years’ experience as laboratory technician in
or
Suitable prior experience in a relevant field preferably in a gravimetric, weighing and or temperature discipline.
Ability to travel within Ireland and abroad where necessary.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong computer experience including all the Microsoft Office applications.
Clean full Irish driving licence.
Up to date Safe Pass would be beneficial.
