About Us
An Craoibhín Restaurant is a well-established traditional Irish restaurant in the heart of Boyle, Co. Roscommon. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent food, warm Irish hospitality, and outstanding customer service to both local customers and visitors.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team and help create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks to a high standard.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge of menus, specials, and beverages.
- Process payments and operate the POS system.
- Prepare and reset tables efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Good English language skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using POS systems.
- Knowledge of wines, beverages, and Irish cuisine.
- Food Safety/HACCP awareness.
- Previous experience in a busy restaurant environment.
