Purpose of the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our Reinsurance Finance team in Dublin on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience within a dynamic international financial services organisation. You will play a key role in the delivery of financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support and financial controls, while working closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of finance activities, providing valuable experience in reporting, regulatory accounting, process improvement and stakeholder management.
Key Contribution Areas
As Finance Associate, you will:
Support the preparation of quarterly Group reporting deliverables for Athora Life Re.
Coordinate and support interim and year-end external audits, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
Manage and review monthly and quarterly reporting for Athora Bermuda Services Ltd, both internally and externally.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly IAS 34 financial statements.
Oversee daily payment controls, bank reconciliations and liquidity planning activities.
Manage and review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
Work closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement, enhancing efficiency and controls across the Finance function.
Contribute to finance-related projects and wider team initiatives as required.
Support the development of junior team members through collaboration, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Personal Capabilities Required
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Part-qualified accountant with a minimum of two years' relevant experience, ideally in financial services company or professional practice.
A commitment to completing a professional accounting qualification.
Experience in financial accounting, reconciliations and financial controls.
A strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships across teams and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
Experience working with multiple currencies and an understanding of foreign exchange considerations.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial systems and general ledger platforms.
