Reporting to the Operations Manager. The team member will operate a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests. Food Service is a key element of our trade so experience in this service would be very beneficial.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a good working knowledge of food, wine and cocktails. Be able to make recommendations.
- Ensure adequate stock in the bar and ensuring all back of house areas are kept clean and to standard
- Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
- Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
- Promote good team relations in F&B team ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Lead, support, inform and guide junior team members.
- Ensure all Cleaning checklists and Paperwork is in order and on file.
- In the absence of manager ensure all sections are allocated appropriately amongst the team.
- Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs and ensure recycling is undertaken.
- Requirements:
- Must be available midweek and weekend for work
- The ability to work on own initiative and be very organised
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills is vital
- Flexibility with ability to work varying shift patterns
- Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star hotel property is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
- Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the hotel.
- Must have excellent people skills and be extremely customer focused.
- Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
