Overview:
We are looking for a sharp, quality-focused, detail‑driven Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure that every component, system, and process meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and our customers to drive continuous improvement and uphold the rigorous quality expectations of our industries including Aerospace. The Role
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with industry standards, customer requirements and government regulations
- Successfully calibrate with operations, engineering, supplier quality and other Lisk functions to reduce/eliminate production/part defects.
- Prepare quality documentation by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes for compliance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Determine conformance to specifications and assist to disposition nonconforming material
- Successfully interface with customers on resolution of issues and clarification of requirements
- Approve manufacturing routes prior to release and after changes
- Complete ERP transactions accurately and in a timely fashion to support Lisk deliverables
- Facilitate root cause analysis and problem solving within teams using standard problem-solving tools (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, 5Why)
- Participate as a subject matter expert in new product development projects
- Support external and internal audits
Drive and Support a Culture of Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and improve 5S standards within Lisk Ireland
The Person - Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Quality related fields. At a minimum a 2-year degree in the above fields
- A minimum of 1 year of working experience in Quality Engineering or work related experience
- Experience with FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP preferred
- Experience with relevant certifications: ISO9001/IATF16949
- Understanding of AS/EN9100 preferred
- Experience with MS Office suite inc. Word/PPT/Excel/Teams required
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances and inspection practices
- Desired: Knowledge of LEAN / Six Sigma Techniques
- Should have a passion for quality, problem solving, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
