About the Role:
EPS Group is seeking an experienced ECI On Site Project Engineer & HSQE Officer to support the delivery of works at Ballymahon Wastewater Treatment Plant. This role combines onsite engineering coordination across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Automation disciplines with responsibility for HSQE management, acting on behalf of EPS as PSCS. The successful candidate will ensure all construction, commissioning and HSQE activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Irish Water and EPS standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Act on behalf of EPS as PSCS, managing all Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental matters on site

Maintain and continuously improve the site HSQE filing and documentation systems
-
Promote a culture of innovation, communication, coordination, cooperation and collaboration across the project team
-
Deliver site inductions for all personnel and maintain records including Safe Pass, training certificates and COVID compliance documentation
-
Conduct weekly toolbox talks and maintain associated records
-
Review, authorise and submit contractor RAMS; manage recommendations and amendments from the client

Support the Site Project Manager in construction risk management activities

Undertake HSQE audits on behalf of EPS and coordinate weekly audits with Irish Water Resident Engineering staff

Participate in monthly HSQE audits with the Irish Water independent auditor and close out all findings

Represent EPS in all stakeholder and public HSQE communications

Prepare and submit monthly site progress reports and monthly presentation packs
-
Attend monthly progress meetings with the client and project stakeholders

Compile and submit document transmittals and maintain the transmittal register

Manage procurement of site consumables

Develop and maintain the Project Asset Register

Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and automation works on site

Develop equipment commissioning plans and coordinate plant commissioning activities

Compile the project Safety File and O&M documentation
Key Competencies and Skills:
-
HSQE management experience on Irish Water infrastructure projects is an advantage
-
Strong background in construction risk management
-
3-5+ years' onsite civil or mechanical engineering experience
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, positive approach
-
Clientfacing experience
-
Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6 and BIM 360 is desirable
-
Strong organisational, analytical and problemsolving abilities
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team
Qualifications:

Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Process Engineering

OR a relevant HSQE qualification
