Part-Time Prep Chef/Cook Wanted
Porterhouse Galway is looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Chef to join our kitchen team.
Working Hours
The role is primarily scheduled between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with Wednesday and Sunday off. Hours are negotiable and may vary to meet the needs of the business, so flexibility is essential.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients and food for daily service.
- Support the chefs with food preparation and kitchen organisation.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and handled in accordance with food safety procedures.
- Help keep the kitchen organised, stocked, and ready for service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage.
- HACCP training is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
