Joining an experienced team, the Site Agent, with proven experience with RC frame, curtain walling to facade and high end internal finishes will have overall responsibility for the delivery of a specific site. This is the lead construction role on the ground, responsible for the safe, efficient and quality-driven supervision of all site activities. The Site Agent will oversee the preparation of the site prior to launch and manage operations throughout the full construction phase.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in compiling the initial programme and understand weekly targets

Plan and oversee site setup to ensure facilities are in place before project launch

Manage relationships with subcontractors on site

Ensure health, safety, environment, quality and sustainability (HSEQS) protocols are followed at all times

Maintain quality control procedures

Ensure the temporary works register is in place and kept up to date
-
Highlight issues to the contract management or commercial teams that may affect project delivery including materials, resources, schedules, safety or costs
Drive the pace of the project and plan the work on site

Monitor onsite energy and waste data

Coordinate and prioritise the sequence of activities

Manage foremen and site staff
-
Lead daily whiteboard meetings

Ensure employees follow correct incident protocols on site

Manage project delivery from mobilisation to completion

Communicate site requirements to the commercial team and seek efficient solutions that balance technical and commercial needs

Delegate responsibilities appropriately to site staff

Manage site records and ensure contemporaneous documentation is maintained

Follow the project execution plan to deliver on time and within budget

Implement and oversee an efficient registration system for all individuals entering and leaving the site
Experience:
- Over 10 years' experience delivering construction projects scross multiple sectors

Skilled in building consensus and fostering positive working relationships
-
Knowledge of industrial relations practices
-
Proven track record of leading teams and managing medium to large scale projects

Strong people management skills with the ability to supervise subcontractors and direct staff
-
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with colleagues and clients
-
Comprehensive understanding of trades, codes of practice and specific site requirements.

Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritise in the interests of the project

Calm under pressure and leads by example

Experience in handling conflicting priorities and managing challenging stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required
-
Trade or technical background
-
IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training
-
Temporary works and excavation safety training
-
Training in permitting for live energy works
-
Training in working at heights and scaffolding
-
Training in lifting and cranage operations
-
Other HSEQS training as per site HSE plan
-
Knowledge of new construction technology systems
-
Understanding of BIM strategy.
Desirable

Relevant project management qualification or course
-
Completion of the Sisk internal management programme

Degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline
