Senior Fire & Security Systems Engineer
About the Role
Xenon Building Technology Ltd is expanding and is seeking an experienced Senior Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a full-time field-based role, based from Carlow, with work carried out at client sites nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of electronic security and life safety systems.

Work location: Based from Carlow office, with travel to clients nationwide.
Salary
€40,000 - €60,000 gross depending on qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work
40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Paid overtime and participation in on-call rota may be required depending on business needs.
Job Description / Duties
The successful candidate will:
· Plan and manage work independently while ensuring full understanding of project and client requirements
· Install, commission, fault-find, maintain, repair, and upgrade electronic security systems including CCTV, access control systems, and intruder alarms
· Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems
· Lead troubleshooting on complex technical issues
· Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers when required
· Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures
· Conduct system demonstrations for clients and provide technical support where necessary
Requirements
Applicants should have:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Fire & Security industry
· Proven hands-on experience across CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems
· Electronic Security Systems Qualification or Electrical Craft Certificate (QQI Level 6 or equivalent preferred)
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
· Full valid EU driving licence
Preferred but not essential:
· Safe Pass Certification
· Manual Handling Certification
Eligibility
