About the Role
The Blue Haven Collection is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team in the heart of Kinsale.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standards across our properties.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of general maintenance tasks, including repairs, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
- Demonstrate strong painting and decorating experience (essential), ensuring high-quality finishes
- Prepare surfaces and complete repairs (cracks, holes, water damage) prior to painting
- Apply paint, varnish, and finishes to both internal and external areas
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and promptly report maintenance issues
- Maintain buildings and surrounding areas to a high standard of cleanliness, quality, and health & safety
- Confidently use and maintain maintenance tools and equipment
- Take a proactive approach to maintenance and respond promptly to requests
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in maintenance work with strong painting skills (Mandatory)
- Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and materials
- Great understanding of general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Able to perform the physical aspects of the role, including lifting and manual work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experienced with health and safety regulations
