Halpenny Golf is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Sales Assistant to join our team in Drogheda.

About the Role
As a Senior Sales Assistant with Halpenny Golf, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting the day-to-day operation of the store. You will provide expert product advice, assist with sales, merchandising and stock management, and help maintain the high standards our customers expect.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of golf equipment and a genuine enthusiasm for the game. Experience in custom fitting and golf club repairs would be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming in-store experience.
- Provide expert advice on golf clubs, equipment, apparel, footwear, and accessories.
- Assist customers in selecting products that best suit their game and requirements.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Assist with stock control, inventory management, and goods receiving.
- Support custom fitting appointments and equipment demonstrations.
- Assist with workshop activities, including club repairs and maintenance where required.
- Help train and support newer team members.
- Contribute to achieving store sales targets and business objectives.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous retail sales experience, ideally in golf, sports retail, or a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for golf and a good understanding of golf equipment and brands.
Desirable
- Experience in golf club custom fitting.
- Experience carrying out golf club repairs, including regripping, shaft replacement, loft and lie adjustments, and general club maintenance.
- Knowledge of launch monitor technology and fitting systems.
- PGA training or golf industry experience.
- Supervisory or senior retail experience.
