Leatrans is an international shipping, transport and logistics provider, headquartered in Limerick.
Due to company growth, we will hire a professional HGV Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance Team.
Qualifications and Skills
· Fully Qualified HGV Mechanic with minimum of 3 years’ experience
· Experience working on Volvo trucks
· Experience working on all types of trailers
· Should have experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics
· Good communication skills and display attention to detail at all times
· Full clean driving licence
Duties
Perform routine maintenance
Electrical and engine troubleshooting and diagnostics
Engine and transmission repairs
Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required
Perform inspections and test mechanical units
Diagnose faults and malfunctions - Adjust, repair and/or replace parts and components of transport systems
Provide training and advice to apprentices and co-workers as required
Ability to use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair
Be able to work shift work and extra hours as required to keep up with business demands
Qualifications:
Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic)
Must be organized & self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
Motivated team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team
Ability to understand and carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form
Salary: Negotiable D.O.E
