New Ireland is seeking a skilled Life400 Developer to design, build and support critical insurance applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to the stability and evolution of core systems that support our customers and colleagues. You will engage in a collaborative technology environment and play a key role in modernising legacy platforms while supporting business?'critical services.
- Build, develop, maintain and support Life400 applications throughout every phase of the software development process.
- Analyse sophisticated business requirements and production issues to identify effective and practical solutions.
- Deliver code changes through agreed development, testing and release processes, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Coordinate efforts alongside solution architects, product owners, project managers and developers to deliver robust software solutions.
- Support testing activities by helping define test scenarios and validating new or enhanced processes.
You bring solid experience working with Life400 and AS400 environments and enjoy working across end?'to?'end delivery. You are comfortable analysing data, identifying trends and explaining technical concepts in a clear and practical way to business partners. You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of partners and can work independently to identify issues and implement solutions. Your problem?'solving mentality, attention to detail and willingness to learn will support your success in this role.
- Financial services or insurance environments
- COBOL, SQL, Smart or IBM technologies such as WebSphere
- Writing technical specifications or supporting change management activities
- Degree in a relevant IT-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or similar).
You will join a high?'energy, collaborative technology team within New Ireland, working across wealth, insurance and enterprise banking systems. The team is instrumental in integration and modernisation initiatives, crafting how legacy platforms evolve while meeting governance, business and technical standards. You will work closely with architects, engineers and business partners, contributing to solution assurance, architectural reviews and cross?'functional decision making.
This is a hybrid role, based primarily at our Ballsbridge office, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in?'person to support collaboration and connection.
