Job Title: Service Engineer
Location: Limerick, Ireland (field-based throughout Ireland)
Job Purpose
To provide installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and repair of process equipment used in the dairy, food, beverage, brewing and pharmaceutical industries, both on customer sites and in the Unison workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance and commissioning work at customer sites throughout Ireland.
- Perform service, repair and commissioning work in the Unison workshop in Limerick.
- Service and repair process equipment including:
- Plate heat exchangers
- Pumps
- Valves
- Homogenisers
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Follow company procedures and quality standards.
- Attend regular service meetings.
- Complete service reports, timesheets and expense records accurately.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and customers.
- Support the continued development and growth of the business.
- Undertake additional reasonable duties required by the company.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Relevant mechanical experience.
Desirable
- Mechanical engineering qualification, trade apprenticeship or engineering technician background.
- Experience within food, dairy, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience working on pumps, valves, heat exchangers or similar process equipment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to complete technical documentation accurately.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently on customer sites.
Working Conditions
- Based in Limerick with travel throughout Ireland.
- Some overtime, weekend work and overnight stays required.
- Combination of workshop and field service work.
