We are looking for a part time and full time Retail Assistant to support operations across The Gem and Howth Market.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and able to work quickly in a busy environment. You will support day-to-day retail and food service operations, help maintain high standards, and play an important part in delivering a great customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner
- Operate the till and handle transactions accurately
- Replenish stock and keep displays, counters, and service areas well presented
- Support with food service and light preparation where required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Follow HACCP procedures and company policies
- Work well under pressure during busy periods
- Assist with opening, closing, and general day-to-day duties across both businesses
What we’re looking for

- Ability to work quickly, stay organised, and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work across different tasks and locations
- Previous experience in retail, deli, café, or hospitality is an advantage
- Valid permit to work in Ireland
