General Operative/ Forklift Driver Wexford:
Glenman Corporation Ltd is a progressive Civil Engineering and Building Contractor operating in Ireland and the UK. We are currently recruiting for the position of General Operative/Forklift driver for a fitout project in Wexford.
The Role
As a General Operative / Forklift Driver, you will play a key part in supporting the works. You will assist skilled trades, carry out general handyman tasks, and help ensure that the site is kept safe, organised, and efficient. This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable and safety-conscious individual with experience working on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting tradespeople (carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers, etc.) with daily tasks.
- Operating forklift safely and efficiently on site
- Performing general site duties such as lifting, carrying, cleaning, and preparing work areas.
- Operating hand and power tools safely.
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe site environment.
- Following company health & safety procedures and using appropriate PPE.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Forklift Licence, Safepass and Manual Handling certificates
- Previous experience working on construction sites
- Good practical skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
- Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
