The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for keeping public areas in the hotel clean and tidy at all times. The ideal candidate should have a warm and friendly personality as they will engage with guests as part of their role.
This role involves morning, evening and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

Follow and implement Sheraton Brand Standards

Participate in Departmental training
-
To work as part of the Accommodation Team and assist with bedrooms as required

Ensure cleanliness of public areas
-
Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms
-
Vacuum rooms and corridors, lifts, stairwells
-
Change and replenish, towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines
-
Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks
-
Dispose of waste accordingly as per company guidelines
-
Follow lost property procedures
-
Check public areas and toilets taking corrective action where necessary
-
Sign-off on completion of duties
-
Ensure all safety procedures are followed to ensure the safety of our guests

Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner
The ideal candidate for this position:

Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and be able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive

Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service

Must be a team player with the ability to multi task

Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market

Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance

Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The position will be about 35 hours per week and will require morning, evening AND weekend availability.
