Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and creative Senior Marketing Executive to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a previous experience in marketing who is ready to take ownership of campaigns, contribute ideas, and drive engagement for our 3 award winning retail stores and website. This is a broad, all-encompassing marketing role covering social media, radio, digital marketing, direct mail, press, in-store events and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives, focused on increasing brand awareness and customer acquisition.
● Own the day-to-day running of ElectroCity’s social media channels, including scheduling content and ensuring a consistent flow of engaging content across platforms.
● Plan, manage, and optimise the Marketing Calendar, ensuring effective delivery of campaigns tied to major sales events and seasonal activity.
● Support and execute digital marketing strategies across social media, paid advertising (including Google Ads), and email marketing, using customer segmentation to drive traffic and conversions.
● Lead the end-to-end content creation process, from ideation to execution, across multiple channels such as radio, print, website, social media, and email campaigns.
● Produce high-quality marketing materials including point-of-sale content, blog posts, internal communications, case studies, and other collateral.
● Manage relationships with each store manager and senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across in-store events, video content, media appearances, and external communications.
● Monitor and report on key marketing metrics on a monthly basis, and coordinate regular meetings with senior management team
● Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insight analysis; stay informed on industry trends through webinars, events, and training to enhance marketing strategies.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners, suppliers, representatives, and key industry stakeholders.
● Support additional marketing projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Location & Travel Requirements
● This is an in-person role, based in our Kilkenny Head Office, but will involve regular travel between store locations in Kilkenny, Waterford, and Carlow, so flexibility and access to own transport is required.
Skills & Experience
● A qualification and previous experience in a Marketing role, is essential
● Ability to create high quality, on brand content, across online and in-store channels
● Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and anticipate needs of customers.
● Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a can do attitude
● Ability to learn quickly and action tasks promptly
● Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Technical Proficiencies
● Video Content Creation and Editing
● Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform
● Canva & Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
● Hootsuite or similar social media management tools
● Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
