We are a fast-growing steel fabrication company established in November 2023. With a team of 17, we operate a modern workshop with plasma cutting, CNC press brake, and skilled fabrication/welding capabilities. The Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations. You will professionalise our processes using Lean principles, lead the fabrication team, and build scalable systems that support our continued rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for production planning, scheduling, and delivery across plasma, press, fabrication, and welding
Lead, develop and performance manage a team of 12–15 fabricators and operators
Drive Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, waste reduction, standardised work)
Improve key metrics: On-Time In-Full (OTIF), right-first-time quality, productivity, and labour efficiency
Manage material flow, inventory, and workshop organisation
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards
Support quoting, job costing, and capacity planning alongside the owner
Report weekly/monthly on operational KPIs
Requirements
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in steel/metal fabrication or similar heavy manufacturing
Proven track record of implementing Lean tools with measurable results (cost savings, lead time reduction, productivity gains)
Previous people management experience (10+ people)
Strong knowledge of plasma cutting, CNC press brakes, and structural/miscellaneous fabrication
ERP/MRP or strong production planning experience
Lean Green Belt (or higher) is a strong advantage
Full clean driving licence
What We Offer
Competitive salary €55,000 – €65,000 (depending on experience)
