Duty Manager – Shandon Hotel & Spa
Reporting to the F&B Operations Manager, the Duty Manager will assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the food & beverages outlets ensuring guest’s requests are met at all times and revenue is maximised.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
· Ensure staffing levels in place for shift ahead.
· Ensure all events & functions are set & ready for shift ahead, including bars, restaurants.
· Control of the lobby and entrance during the shift.
· Responsible for fire safety and health & safety for hotel residents on shift.
· Ensure all walk rounds of the building are completed and recorded during the shift checking standards, security & safety.
· Responsible for end of the day cash up.
· Ensure that the guest enjoys the highest quality and service.
· Continuously seeks out opportunities to improve the guest service by acting on feedback received.
· Builds and maintains effective relationships with guests.
· Demonstrates effective and appropriate interaction with guests whilst maintaining a professional approach and image.
The Ideal Candidate
· It is essential for this role that you have excellent public relations skills, are a strong communicator & have managerial experience in a similar role within a hotel structure.
· You must be a strong leader with a hands-on approach.
· You must be adaptable with proven strong decision-making skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Knowledge of food & beverage systems a distinct advantage.
· Strong command of the English language.
· Eligible to work in Ireland.

Work remotely:
This is a full time position which will include mainly evenings and weekends. We expect our managers to lead from the front and have a 'hands on approach' to continuous training and development of their teams.
