The Role
Working closely with the editorial team, this role delivers engaging digital content across THE GLOSS's platforms, encompassing website management, SEO, social media, newsletters and video production, while supporting audience growth, subscriptions and commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Digital Editor, Deputy Editor and Editor on a balanced and engaging content calendar, aimed at driving digital growth.

Contribute to the daily management of thegloss.ie including uploading posts, sourcing and resizing images, embedding video and social media, and liaising with contributors when needed.

Follow SEO strategies for the site, optimising all posts, videos and images.

Produce articles across fashion, lifestyle, food and culture, depending on the content calendar.

Coordinate affiliate shopping links and monitor performance.

Work with the Digital Editor on monthly newsletters

Assist the Digital Editor, with social media, including posting and scheduling daily Stories.

Create reels for editorial and commercial as needed, with experience editing video.

Work with advertising on commercial content, creating layouts and client reports.

Manage online subscriptions, liaising with IT on any issues, and reporting on updated lists.

Manage on event bookings and ticket sales, providing live coverage on Instagram when needed.

Work with the whole team on THE GLOSS Gala production

Provide coverage for colleagues during absences and perform other digital production tasks as required by the Editor.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

Studied media. communications or a related field.

Strong communication skills, highly organised and a collaborative team player.

Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Quick learner, with the ability to work under pressure as part of a small team.

Experience with social media platforms, particularly Instagram.

Proficiency in image editing tools, such as Photoshop and/or Canva

Familiarity with content management systems, such as WordPress and Mailchimp.
