Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of the Admissions Administrator will include:
Responsible for the administration processes associated with the recruitment and admission of students;
Provision of Educational Guidance and Advice to prospective students;
Daily processing of online applications from the DBS website and in some cases, manual applications;
Ensuring all lead and application details are coded correctly in the student information system;
Ensuring all applications and student files are maintained as per the department's internal processes;
Ensuring compliance checks are carried out on all leads and applications;
Analysis of student academic qualifications to assess suitability for admission onto third level programmes;
Preparing student files with all application documents for review by the QA Officer;
Ensuring that the Quality Assurance of DBS is protected and maintained at all times;
Ensuring the student information system is up-to-date and live at all times;
Liaising with all applicants regarding the status of their application on a daily/weekly basis;
Daily & weekly follow up phone calls to applications at all stages and ensuring they are completed as required;
Preparing and sending offer letters to eligible applicants;
Answer queries/providing information on the telephone and following up phone calls by sending out the relevant information/literature;
Attending open events/exhibitions/fairs/schools representing DBS as part of the student recruitment process as required. Some of these may be in the evening or weekends;
Attendance at Course Registrations/Information Sessions for programmes as required.
Sending induction and registration details to students;
Assisting in all recruitment areas during peak times;
Additional administrative and marketing tasks as delegated by management.

The management of successful working relationships will be an integral aspect of the role and includes:
Reporting Arrangement
The Admissions Administrator will report directly to the Admissions Manager.
Required
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Proven ability to communicate information to the public in an effective and professional manner.
Excellent Interpersonal and written communication skills.
Good computer & keyboard skills, preferably including word processing, databases, spread-sheets.
Ability to work effectively, accurately and under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work with large volumes efficiently.
Ability to prioritise and to meet deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
