We are looking for a full-time Day Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a porter within a hotel environment.
As a Day Porter, you will play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for our guests from the moment they arrive. You will be one of the first members of our team they meet, so a friendly attitude, professional manner and excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests with their luggage on arrival and departure, including delivering luggage to guest bedrooms.
- Assist guests with any requests and provide helpful information about the hotel and its facilities.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming lobby and public areas throughout the day.
- Assist with moving luggage, deliveries and other items around the hotel when required.
- Support the Food & Beverage team by helping to clear and tidy tables during busy periods.
- Assist other hotel departments where required to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and ensure guests receive excellent service at all times.
- Follow all hotel health, safety and security procedures.
- A friendly, welcoming and positive attitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A professional and well-presented manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and use initiative when required.
- Comfortable working in a busy hotel environment.
- Physically able to assist with luggage and remain active throughout the shift.
- Previous hotel or customer service experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
