About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and capable Night Porter to join our team at the Eviston House Hotel in the heart of Killarney. This is a genuinely important role — you’ll be the face of the hotel overnight, keeping things running smoothly when the rest of the team has gone home. If you’re someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, works well on your own initiative, and can handle whatever the night brings with calm and professionalism, we’d like to hear from you.
This is a part-time position covering 2–3 nights per week, with hours to be discussed. It suits someone looking for steady overnight work with a well-established hospitality group.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing late check-ins and ensuring guests are welcomed professionally
- Operating the residents’ bar during the night shift
- Carrying out security checks and fire walks at regular intervals
- Keeping public areas clean and well-presented throughout your shift
- Handling guest queries and any issues that arise — calmly and efficiently
- Assisting with basic breakfast setup before the morning team arrives
- Cash handling is required
What We’re Looking For
- A good standard of spoken English — this is a front-facing, guest-contact role
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred; bar experience is a distinct advantage
- Someone who can work independently and use their initiative when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and professional — the overnight shift requires someone the team can count on
- A calm, confident manner when dealing with guests and unexpected situations
