Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our energetic kitchen team as a kitchen porter on a fulltime basis (approx. 25-30 hrs per week) at The Bread Basket, Ballinasloe. We pride ourselves on our friendly and efficient service to our guests and would someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry to join us!
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise all areas used in meal preparation, along with ovens, grills, sinks, and stoves.
- Unloading food and equipment deliveries & ensuring they are stored correctly,
- Ensure work surfaces, floors, and walls are clean
- Taking out the garbage.
- Washing cutlery, utensils, and cookware so the kitchen staff has constant access.
- Helping the chef with food preparation such as peeling, washing, and cutting meal ingredients as well as some cooking prep duties.
- Assisting chef with some cooking duties.
- Keeping freezers, fridges, and storage areas clean and organised.
- Regularly carry food, dishes and kitchen supplies between the kitchen and dining areas, including using stairs.
Criteria:
- Fluent English
- Can commute to Ballinsloe
- Available to work weekdays & weekends
- Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Must be friendly and be a great team player
- Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland

Pay: €14.15-€15.00 per hour
