Experienced General Operative
We’re a busy and growing bathroom renovation company with an increasing workload, and we’re looking for an experienced General Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, practical and takes pride in their work. This is a hands-on role working across bathroom renovation and construction projects, so we need someone who is comfortable getting stuck in and can work efficiently as part of a team.
*The Role *
The role will involve a variety of general construction and renovation duties, including:
- Taping and jointing
- Slabbing and plaster boarding
- Stripping out bathrooms
- General preparation and labouring duties
- Assisting tradespeople on renovation projects
- Moving and handling materials
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
- Carrying out general construction tasks as required
- Working efficiently to keep projects on schedule
* What We're Looking For *
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction
- Hands-on experience with taping and jointing
- Experience with slabbing/plaster boarding
- Experience stripping out bathrooms and renovation work
- Good general construction knowledge
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Good attention to detail
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Good communication skills
- Own transport is essential
- Own tools are an advantage, but tools can be supplied
- Must be available for an immediate start
