About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated IT Destruction Specialist to join our Operations Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure processing, dismantling, destruction and preparation of IT equipment for onward recycling and disposal.
This is a hands-on role involving both physical processing and accurate recording of IT equipment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within the IT asset recovery, recycling and destruction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming IT equipment against orders and accurately identify and report any discrepancies.
- Itemise, record and track equipment and materials using relevant systems.
- Sort and segregate materials for appropriate processing and recycling.
- Dismantle IT equipment and remove components for secure destruction and onward recycling.
- Inspect equipment and materials to ensure they are suitable for processing.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming or unsuitable waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Palletise and prepare processed materials for onward shipment, treatment and recycling.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow all company health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure operational targets are achieved.
- Carry out other duties as required to support the Operations Team.
Requirements & Skills
- Good general computer skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and SharePoint is desirable.
- An IT-related Level 5, 6 or 7 qualification would be an advantage.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.
- Previous experience in IT recycling, warehousing, logistics or a similar environment would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Salary
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
