Overview
Dublin International Foundation College (DIFC) is seeking an experienced and highly organised finance professional to support the day-to-day financial operations of the college.
This is a hands-on role within a busy international education environment involving financial management, student fee administration, reporting, compliance, and operational support across multiple departments.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and will play an important role in supporting the continued development and financial stability of the college.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Manage daily finance function including accounts payable and receivable
- Process supplier payments, reconciliations, and banking transactions
- Prepare monthly management accounts and cashflow reports
- Monitor cashflow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial controls
- Assist with payroll preparation and related reconciliations
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, and service providers
Student Finance & Administration
- Manage student invoicing, receipts, and payment tracking
- Monitor instalment plans and follow up on outstanding student balances
- Process refunds in line with college policies and procedures
- Work closely with admissions and visa teams regarding fee confirmations and student payments
- Maintain accurate records for learner protection and regulatory requirements
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with financial reporting requirements for QQI, ILEP, auditors, insurers, and other regulatory bodies
- Support annual audits and financial reviews
Operational Support
- Participate in weekly finance and management meetings
- Support process improvements across finance administration
- Assist management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Work collaboratively with admissions, academic, and sales teams
- PA support for the CEO
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience using accounting software and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in education, hospitality, or service sector environments
- Knowledge of Sage, similar accounting systems
- Accounting technician qualification or part-qualified accountant

Salary will be dependent on experience.
