Machine Setter – Injection Moulding
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Machine Setter will work on the set-up, ongoing maintenance, and operation of our production line. Setters are responsible for ensuring the machines produce high quality products, run smoothly at capacity, and are properly maintained. A strong mechanical and/or electrical acumen is required, as is prior experience working in a manufacturing setting. This is a day shift-based role.
Responsibilities
· Working on day-to-day set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the injection moulding production line.
· Perform Mould & Machine cleaning, robots and ancillary equipment.
· Production of finished goods, compliant with SOPs and customer requirements. Access and adhere to quality specifications and special instructions on orders.
· Perform quality checks and collect quality data as required. Complete documentation associated with the quality and regulatory environment in which the business operates.
· Material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
· Housekeeping of work area.
· Perform other production related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
· Newly Qualified with Technical Qualification in Manufacturing or Mechanical / Automation Engineering
Or
Minimum of 3 years experience with track record in similar environment where you would like to join an expanding team and take on the opportunity of further training and development.
· Relevant Experience with in-mould labelling is an advantage
Working in manufacturing of packaging, food production, engineered components, etc.
· Knowledge of machine operation and a team production concept.
· Organised & Familiar with line clearance and Health & Safety Protocols
· Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Interest in GMP / Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma would be an advantage.
Hours of work: Alternating 36 hour/48 hour Day Shift Pattern including bi-weekly weekend roster. Occasional night cover may be required - plant runs 24/7.
Rest break entitlements will be in accordance with the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997.
Salary: Your salary will be €40,000 to €45,000 per annum, paid monthly, in arrears.
Pension Employees within the company can set up or contribute to a PRSA Pension scheme through payroll deductions, with matching company contributions up to 5% of pensionable salary.
