We are seeking a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Assistant to join The West Coast Hospitality Group. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of multiple busy bar premises in Westport & Castlebar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance duties, painting, stock/store support, driving, and assisting with a range of operational tasks as required. A company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across bar premises
- Painting, decorating, and basic refurbishment work
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Support with stores, stock movement, and deliveries
- Driving between locations as required using company vehicle
- Respond to maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
- Assist management with additional operational or “odd jobs”
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented premises
- Liaise with external contractors when required
Requirements
- Fluent English
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Good practical skills across general repairs and upkeep
- Full clean driving licence essential
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Strong work ethic with a flexible approach
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Hospitality experience an advantage but not essential
