Contract: Permanent Full-Time 70/70 (70 hours fortnightly)
Location: Clare County Wide
The role of a Positive Behaviour Specialist
The post holder will join a positive behaviour support service to provide assessment and intervention services to adults with intellectual disability receiving day and residential supports from Corlann Clare. The post holder will support the achievement of valued roles and personal outcomes for the people we support by facilitating individuals, staff and families to understand and address needs and preferences communicated through behaviour that challenges.

Qualifications/Experience: ·
Applicants must have a recognised University Degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or related discipline
Longitudinal training on Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis
A minimum of two years experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support within an organisation for people with Intellectual Disabilities
Experience of developing and writing up Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Experience of working with people with disabilities
Positive attitude towards individuals with disabilities based on understanding their rights and needs
Knowledge of key service approaches such as person-centred planning and individualised service design
Full Clean Driving Licence and Car Owner
