We are a small, independent childrenswear boutique in Naas, and we are looking for a friendly, reliable Sales Assistant to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave, starting September 2026.
This is a full time position Monday - Friday (with occasional flexibility to cover staff holidays on Saturdays), working in our boutique helping families find the perfect pieces for their little ones. You'll be the face of our shop, so a warm, welcoming, polite manner and genuine enjoyment of working with customers (and their kids!) are essential.
The Role:
* Providing excellent, friendly customer service
* Advising customers on sizing, styles, and brands
* Processing sales and returns / exchanges on the POS system
* Merchandising and maintaining stock displays
* Receiving deliveries and cross checking invoices and orders
* Creating social media content and involvement in website maintenance
I am looking for the following:
* Previous retail or customer service experience essential
* A friendly, patient and approachable manner
* Reliable, excellent time keeping and happy to cover occasional Saturdays
* Comfortable using a POS / Till system
* Able to commit to the full length of the contract
* Sharp, resourceful and proactive - someone who spots what needs doing and just gets on with it and is comfortable to work independently make decisions without constant supervision
Pay: €15.00-€17.00 per hour
