All Affairs is an established Event & Party Hire business based in Castlebar, providing catering supplies, furniture and event hire solutions for weddings, corporate events, parties and trade customers since 2007.
We are also home to one of the largest Fancy Dress shops in the West of Ireland. ( Ideal candidate must be flexible in October to work weekends in the build up to Halloween)
We are looking for a friendly, energetic and enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join our team and work in our Event & Party Showroom in Castlebar.
This is a varied, customer-focused role where you will help customers plan everything from private parties and weddings to large corporate and trade events.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years' experience in sales and dealing with the public
- Be self-motivated, confident and comfortable working on their own initiative
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Have a professional and friendly telephone manner
- Be fluent in English
- Be confident using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Be comfortable learning new software systems – full training will be provided
- Be able to work well in a busy environment and under pressure
- Be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks
- Be comfortable with a certain amount of manual handling as part of the role
Main duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales and customer service in a busy showroom environment - both in Catering hire department and Fancy dress shop
- Advising customers and helping them plan their event requirements
- Preparing and processing customer orders and quotations
- Following up on quotations, enquiries, emails and sales leads
- Telesales and developing relationships with existing and potential customers
- Purchase ordering and stock control
- Managing incoming and outgoing hire orders
- Maintaining the showroom and ensuring it is presented to a high standard
- Supporting management with the day-to-day running and development of the business
- Helping to grow sales and identify new business opportunities.
