We’re expanding our team and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our growing business.

The successful candidate must be able to work from site in Buncrana, Co. Donegal.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and manage negotiations through to order placement.
- Oversee the financial and commercial management of subcontractors through to final account settlement.
- Maintain accurate site records and ensure robust document control procedures are followed.
- Carry out site measurements and maintain detailed records of findings.
- Assist with forecasting, target setting, and reconciliation of package values.
- Prepare valuations and variations with comprehensive supporting documentation, agreeing adjustments as projects progress.
- Support reconciliation of proposed payment runs.
- Update and submit projected final accounts in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with site management teams to address and challenge commercial issues effectively.
- Drive the implementation of agreed commercial strategies across projects.
- Participate in contract value reviews while maintaining an objective commercial perspective.
- Identify project risks and opportunities, providing informed commercial assessments.
- Lead project cost tracking processes to ensure budgets and actual expenditure remain aligned.
- Develop an understanding of insurance requirements and warranty obligations.
- Support cash flow management activities to maintain strong financial performance.
- Assist with tendering processes where required.
- Ensure all site records and commercial control documents are properly maintained.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Make full use of digital tools and technology platforms.
- Maintain proficiency in Standard Methods of Measurement such as ARM4 and ARM5, where applicable depending on package requirements.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Apply excellent time management, organisational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent English proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Cubit measurement software.
- Strong analytical ability with a clear understanding of value, cost, and risk.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
