Stock Controller / Inventory & Order Despatch Coordinator
Location: Macroom Warehouse (Office-Based)
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Stock Controller / Inventory & Order Despatch Coordinator to join our team in Macroom. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient order fulfilment, and the smooth operation of our Intact ERP system.
Working closely with the warehouse, purchasing, delivery and sales teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring stock availability, maintaining system accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service through efficient order processing and despatch.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operation and integrity of the Intact ERP software system, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded.
* Monitor, maintain, and reconcile stock levels, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
* Prepare stock requisitions and purchase orders to maintain agreed inventory levels.
* Manage the stock replenishment process by monitoring sales trends, stock usage, and supplier lead times to ensure timely replenishment.
* Liaise with suppliers and the purchasing team to follow up on outstanding orders and ensure stock availability.
* Coordinate the warehouse team to ensure the timely picking, packing, and despatch of customer orders.
* Prioritise warehouse activities to meet customer delivery deadlines.
* Work closely with the sales team to provide accurate stock availability information and order updates.
* Produce inventory and operational reports and analyse stock performance to support purchasing decisions.
* Identify opportunities to improve stock control processes, warehouse efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
* Ensure all warehouse and inventory procedures comply with company standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or logistics coordination.
* Experience using an ERP or stock management system (Intact experience would be an advantage but is not essential).
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret inventory data and stock reports.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
